Day 102 ? Hiking into Boiling Springs, PA was beautiful. I loved this section – out of the woods and into the corn fields. Passing old houses and farms. We hiked 20 miles to a campsite just outside the town, literally right next to the railroad tracks. We didn’t realize how close we were to the train until it went by for the first time. You could feel the ground vibrating. A train would pass 4 more times throughout the night, blowing its horn. Safe to say we did not sleep well. After the train would pass, we took the window of time to sleep before the next one came through . In the morning, we zombie-walked the mile into the adorable town of Boiling Springs and had breakfast at Cafe 101. Ordering enough food to slip into a food coma & enough coffee to bring us out of it. We were greeted by smiles and chats with the locals – a hiker friendly town that made us all consider living there. I’m loving these towns in PA
