Timothy Pluta

I love old-school blues, my dog, Oliver, New York bagels and most (if not all) terrible 80’s movies. For the past few years I’ve been working in insurance, living just outside Phoenix, Arizona. During the week, I worked, but on the weekends I spent my time in the canyons and wonderlands of the great American Southwest. No matter how much I tried to convince myself that corporate life was good, safe and dependable…I could never shake the calling of the wild unknown. Deep down, I knew what I really wanted -“If only I had the guts to follow my heart.” I’ve now recently left that corporate world behind, and have chosen to pursue my youngest childhood dream. This spring, I will set out to thru-hike the entire Appalachian Trail - from Georgia to Maine. Join me on this great adventure as I blog the highs and lows of trail life, on my quest for Katahdin!
