Thru-hiking season is in full throttle on the #PCT! And there are some great photos floating around thanks to all the hikers out there! Unfortunately, if you are reading this right now, you probably aren’t out on the trail (thanks for reading if you are!). Good news, this is the next best thing!

It's been about a week since this moment. We shared the end of the trail with a few others but really we shared it with all the wonderful people we met on the trail. This was on one of my 53mi days and I was a bit reluctant to stop and pull my camera out, but if your going to carry 3lbs of camera gear, you better use it! This was around 40 miles in and my favorite view of Mt. Hood. I wound up finishing my day in 15.5 hours and stayed in the historic Timberline Lodge, 5,000ft below the peak of the giant mountain.

You have to have nerves of steel and feel confident on your feet to hike parts of the PCT. This is the ice chute just below forester pass. Its a steep drop off made almost completely of ice. One slip here without an ice axe would mean certain death. We were walking back in from exploring a towering rock outcropping over Crater Lake when I noticed this massive Bald Eagle riding the thermals by the cliff side. Actually made it down the other side, but this is where I'm officially ending my #pct journey. Trudging through waste deep snow, near frostbitten and pushed to my personal survivalist limits.
