Looks sketchy… But I’m doing it anyway

Howdy!

I know, I know. I’m supposed to say Salut! because I’ve been in Romania for the past few years or Hola! because southern Spain may be our next landing zone after I finish hiking the AT, or even Hello like the way grown-ups do it. But I’m back in beautiful Colorado for a few days before heading to Springer, and I’m reclaiming nearly forgotten constitutional rights to speak and hear and write in real English again.

I’m excited to be the first “roving digital sketch artist” among the elite Appalachian Trial Bloggers. Sure, I made up the title, but unless Zach demotes me… I’m doing it. I plan to recreate some of gorgeous, grueling, heartwarming, and (unfortunately) heartbreaking moments through digital sketches. My posts will likely be short on words, (I’m going to be fairly busy hiking and smelling the rhododendrons) but if you’re willing to let me pretend that a picture is worth a 1000 words, then the sketches should be good for at least 250 words each… Right?

With Zach’s permission, I’ve included a few posts from my website to share a little backstory for those with insatiable curiosity, or compassion for downtrodden digital nomads.

I hope my sketches sprinkle your days with color.

See ya down the Trail!
