Thru-Hikers Mixtape – Georgia

I love to hike with music, the beat keeps my feet moving and the right tune can empower my mood on a tough day.  I use Spotify and it’s offline listening feature (Paid Account Only) to grab whatever music I want quickly and change playlists on the fly. Any time I get to a spot with wi-fi I can download a whole new playlist.  It also has a great collaborative playlist option which allows other people to add songs to the playlist for me. It’s like having all of your friends and followers as your own personal DJ!

I have created a series of playlists and hope if you use Spotify that you will send me a message and I will add you to the playlist so you can give me new music on the trail. When I get into Hostels and towns with Wi-Fi I will download the new music onto the trusty iPod and take a little bit of you with me on the hike.

Here is my current playlist for hiking through Georgia. Leave a comment below with your name on Spotify and I will add you to the hiking playlist!

Excellent music selection!! Very chill and sounds perfect for moving along. There’s a nice energy to it! I make a massive playlist for my annual (car) camping trip and I know how much effort goes into choosing the perfect songs 🙂 This year I’ll be hiking the Trail (leaving late March). Enjoy your trek! By the way, if you haven’t heard of him, check out Seasick Steve (see: The Banjo Song; Keep On Keepin’ On). Seems like he’d be up your alley!
