Thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail isn’t just about the hiking, views and camping, it’s also about the people you meet along the way. Lastnight I met @jfkarl.sanchez at a hostel. He’s not thru-hiking like me but he is on quite an adventure! Last week he started a 4000+ mile bicycle trip from Virginia to Oregon! We chatted for awhile and both admired one anothers journeys we are on. I took this photo of my buddy John last night in the dark at our campsite. It was a 5 second exposure and I’m really happy with the look of it. In other news… UPS lost my passport and I’ve been jumping through hoops all day to try to figure out what to do. Luckily my buddy @sullivanway came up to visit me and has been helping me out. Took a zero day yesterday to explore Harpers Ferry. The view of the historic lower town of Harpers Ferry from Maryland Heights. Harpers Ferry sits at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac River, and was the site of John Brown’s Rebellion. The town changed hands 8 different times during the Civil War.
