This Week’s Top Instagram Photos from the #PacificCrestTrail

Thru-hiking season is in full throttle on the #PCT! And there are some great photos floating around thanks to all the hikers out there! Unfortunately, if you are reading this right now, you probably aren’t out on the trail (thanks for reading if you are!). Good news, this is the next best thing!

If you’d like to be featured, we search Instagram for great photos with the hashtag #PacificCrestTrail, #PCT and #PacificCrestTrials (our personal favorite) and select a few standouts each week for your viewing pleasure.

Here’s some visual splendor chock full of the insta-greatness we have all been waiting for. The following photos were taken between 9/20 and 9/30.

I want to thank you all for following my journey and the amazing support. It's hard to believe I'm done with the PCT and finally relaxing in Vancouver. Tomorrow night I fly to Tokyo where I'll spend the next 10 days relaxing some more before flying to Nepal to tackle the Annapurna Circuit. Crazy I know, but this year for me has been about pushing myself to new limits and following my dreams. Looking forward to this next wild chapter. ? ?: @cheesebeard_hikes #pct2016 #pcta #pctig #pacificcresttrail #pacificcresttrials #hiking #backpacking #thruhike #thruhiker #sony #sonyimages #a7rii #adventureanywhere #awakethesoul #wildernessnation #comforttheory #anywherewild #goatworthy #thegreatoutdoors #myfeatureshoot #hikelighter #aldhawest #untrackedexperience #bpmag #trailchat #takemebackpacking #fstoppers #somewheremagazine #theadventureproject

On September 16 at 5:30 pm, after 6 days of walking 30+ mile days, I finished my thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. It took me 139 days 9.5 hours, 15 wasp stings, a dislocated rib, a chipped premolar, baring through 120 degree days, 20 degree nights, broken gear (pack frame, sleeping pad, sleeping bag liner), and a broken phone; but I finally did it.It was more difficult then I imagined and I pushed myself further than I ever have before in my life. I am humbled by the shear beauty the west coast has to offer. Thank you to everyone who supported me throughout. It meant more then you could have realized. Thanks to my mom for being a logistical savior, always being available to send gear and food when needed. I will be posting lots of photos the next few days hopefully since I am super backed up having no access to Internet the past good while. On to the next adventure (update soon). #pct2016 #pcta #pctig #pacificcresttrail #pacificcresttrials #hiking #backpacking #thruhike #thruhiker #sony #sonyimages #a7rii #adventureanywhere #awakethesoul #wildernessnation #comforttheory #anywherewild #goatworthy #thegreatoutdoors #myfeatureshoot #hikelighter #aldhawest #untrackedexperience #bpmag #trailchat #takemebackpacking #fstoppers #somewheremagazine #theadventureproject

CANADA! I made it! Mexico to Canada (2650 miles) in 142 days (May 2 – Sep 20). I'm so happy to have made it here. It took 2 attempts, 290 days, 30,000+ hours, and 5000 miles of hiking to get here but I've finally made it. And to top it off, the second to last day it snowed hard on us only to clear up the day we got to the border. The last day we had to hike through almost 10 miles of 8 inches of snow before making it to the border. What a beautiful last day of hiking and such a bitter sweet moment to be done. A whole summer spent hiking. Wouldn't have it end any other way. My second thruhike definitely tops my first. #pct #pcta #pctig #pacificcresttrail #pacificcresttrials #hiking #backpacking #longdistancehike #thruhike #thruhiker #thruhikefinished #finallydone #mountains #bpmag #natgeo #washington #likeforlike
