Hi there all you wonderful people! I am Happycamel, in heart and soul passionate hiker, adventurer and restless nomad. In my daily life yoga instructor, birth Doula, mom of three and Permaculture farmer living on a farm on a small island called Tjome in Norway. I will travel across the ocean and hike the Pacific Crest Trail through Oregon and Washington; from Ashland to Stehekin, solo this summer, starting July 1st. Preparations, mindfullness and 15 days to start
With my start date getting closer, I wanted to write a post about my preparations for my hike on the PCT. I also wanted to write about gear. But preparations is not just gear, it is so many other things both mentally and physically. This year has taught me a lot about all of those things.

The countdown has started! I will in less than three weeks travel from Norway across the ocean and embark on my journey on the Pacific Crest Trail. I am beyond excited. The childish feeling of joy when I leave everyone and everything behind with 60 days of hiking, suffering and the bliss of nature laying ahead of me.
